UPCOMING EVENTS
IT'S A BIG BIRTHDAY DOUBLE HEADER SHOW!
The Big HOO-HAA! celebrates it's 24th birthday this August but we're the ones offering gifts:
An hour of the classic HOO-HAA! improv comedy capers you love- silly sketches, songs on the spot and madcap characters. It's two teams of quick witted performers competing for your love, laughs and the coveted HOO-HAA! trophy.
AND after interval, we unveil our brand new show RADIO NOIR. It's a classic detective story with clues hiding in the shadows, a searing jazz soundtrack and crimes that just won't stay hidden.
Completely improvised and completely silly, this live radio show is not your mum's true crime podcast.
This is the grand poetry festival FINALE.
Perth Poetry Festival closes with featured poets and the first public sharing of work emerging from the Festival's three 2026 Micro-Residencies. Join us at The Jonesway Theatre for a final night of poetry, performance, new work and celebration.
Tooth & Tail is a fantastic swashbuckler that explores the dynamics of female friendship. When Princess Plumeria is kidnapped, Vixen LaFey and her dragon Flicker are determined to rescue her – and bring her home for the reward money. But along the way, they must face pirates, a witch who won’t stop rhyming, curses, and monsters of all kinds.
Come and join our newest bunch of Jomers as they take the stage for the very first time!
An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.
Desperate for a child, a childless Baker and his Wife venture into a magical forest to break a Witch's curse. Along the way, their journey intertwines with classic Brothers Grimm characters—Cinderella, Jack, Little Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel—as everyone chases their deepest wishes, only to face the disastrous consequences of "happily ever after".
Everything in Hatchetfield seemed normal until people began singing... Then, they began dancing... And now, a musical pandemic is sweeping the entire city. It’s up to Paul (an average guy who doesn’t like musicals) and his friends to stop this musical apocalypse and fight for humanity’s future.
Samantha Brown balances on the edge of her future, car keys in hand. As she sits in the driver's seat, she faces a choice: will she follow in her mother's footsteps, or take the dare of her impetuous best friend and chart a new path?
